The pink gold catches light the way only Lange’s 750 alloy does. It's warm, quiet, and almost private. On the wrist it settles with the confidence of a watch that never needed to raise its voice. When Walter Lange revived the house in 1994, the Saxonia stood among the four founding models. This reference refined that idea into its purest form: 35 mm of pink gold, a solid-silver argenté dial, and the hand-wound calibre L941.1. No excess. Only the insistence that every bridge and gold chaton be finished as if destined for a nineteenth-century pocket watch. The argenté dial carries applied pink-gold indexes and alpha hands that move with the calm authority of the L941.1, its 164 parts decorated by hand, the balance cock still engraved freehand. At 7.3 mm the watch wears almost flush. The brown alligator strap and pink-gold buckle complete a silhouette both classical and newly resolved. This 2016 example is in impeccable, complete with its full set. It belongs on a wrist that values restraint, the kind that will notice years later how the gold has deepened while the movement still breathes exactly as it did in Glashütte.
